In this scene, Walter’s perceptions of his grandfather change dramatically as he learns more about Emilio’s turbulent past.  Tata was not a simple country boy who came to America looking for a job.  He was a revolutionary who fought alongside Praxedis Guerrero against the tyranny of Porfirio Diaz and his dictatorial regime.
Why did they chose to fight?  The reasons must be compelling.
Walter’s quest for answers takes him to Mexico; birthplace of Emilio Hernandez and origin of his family heritage.
