Cliotilde Guerrero convinced her parents, the owners of the hacienda Los Altos de Ibarrra, to take in the five year old runaway boy, Emilio. Cliotilde took it upon herself to look after him during the years he lived and worked at the hacienda. They remained connected for the rest of their lives.
